Ramky Foundation (RF) is a non-profit organization registered under the Indian Trust Act, with the motto Towards Sustainable Growth. Since 2006, apart from the CSR initiatives to address the needs of the employees & communities in and around the Ramky Group of companies, RF is also working on issues of global relevance such as Natural Resource Management, Women Empowerment, Health, Skill Development and Education by partnering with various Government and Non-Government bodies.
Ramky Foundation is currently working across 16 Statesand its impact has been felt far and wide and appreciated in different forms throughout the Indian subcontinent. In the process we have also associated with Government Organizations/Bodies such as NABARD, NSDC, APSSDC, NACO, and Department of Water Resources Investigation and Development (Govt. of W.B.), Rajiv Gandhi Integrated Watershed Management Project (Govt. of M.P.), Irrigation and CAD Government of Aspect.
Ramky Foundation is implementing several CSR Activities in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. In association with NABARD, under Maa Thota Program, it has conducted numerous activities in the last 10 years for the benefit of the Tribal farmers of that region. Apart from these activities, Ramky Foundation is also working in the areas given below:
Ramky Foundation has been implementing projects on Organic farming which entails encouraging organic farming Practices and providing free Organic inputs for sustainable income generation to the farmers.
There is also a flagship program of NABARD under implementation, known as Tribal Development Project, which deals with enhancing the livelihoods of the Tribal Farmers also covering the component of Farmer Producers Organization under which small & marginal farmers are trained and specialized in their product and their agribusiness is being promoted. Currently, 2 TDF & 2 FPO Projects are being implemented in the Koyyuru region of AP.
Few activities like check dam construction, bore well digging are also being done from time to time as a means to preserve the natural resources.
Ramky Foundation has a flagship program known as Integrated Schooling & Holistic Approach (ISHA). Under this Program, RF has been adopting several government schools & developed their infrastructure in several states across the country. RF also facilitates scholarship & notebooks distribution to the meritorious students from an underprivileged family background.
For the benefit of the rural population, RF also organizes health camps for general health check-ups and blood donation camps from time to time.
Due to the pandemic last year, RF has also extensively conducted COVID-19 relief activities in which the organization distributed food, ration, PPE kits, etc. to the needy population as a means to provide them the lockdown support. It has also conducted COVID-19 vaccination drives to safeguard the public against the virus.
Recently, Primary Health Center at Vizag was also renovated and a garden was developed in the premises.
RF has helped empower women by means of setting up petty business for the rural women of Parwada and promoted the entrepreneurial skills among them.
Ramky Foundation is providing handhold support to the 56 rural women of Parwada area through Adarsha Mutually Aided Cooperative Society (Adarsha MACS). These societies are managed and controlled by members for their economic and social betterment and for the matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. The activities include micro-financing, event organizations, etc. It has also recently set up a Phenyl making unit.
